We provide all of our young horses with a correct "start". Basic ground manners such as: leading,
using the crossties, standing for the farrier/vet, loading, etc. receive equal attention to riding basics. Lunging, free lunging,
free jumping, hacking out cross country, introduction to side reins, vienna reins and long lining are all incorporated into
the young horse program. We recognize that every horse progresses in a way different from the next; therefore, flexibility
remains prominent, as each horse receives a customized program specific to its progression. All of our young horses, dressage
and jumping horses alike, participate in a "cross-training" program, consisting of solid flatwork/dressage
basics, jumping/gymnastics and hacking out. There is a greater focus on whichever discipline the horse seems to excel, but
we believe that cross training betters their mind and heightens athletic performance. If you would like more information about
our young horse training, please feel free to email us.
