Summer camp begins Monday, June 14th and runs for six days through August 21st (See schedule below). Camp begins at 9am and ends at 4pm. Saturday is the camper's weekly horse show, open to parents, relatives, and friends of campers; the horse show starts promptly at 10am, and finishes around noon, with a pizza pool party, and camper awards to follow!

Campers need to come to camp with a packed lunch, an ASTM-SEI certified helmet (bicycle helmets are not certified safety equipment), long pants, and boots with a quarter-inch heel. Optional equipment includes: full or half chaps, breeches/jodphurs, paddock boots/field boots, a swimming suit and towel - again, this is optional, not required. Water and sports drinks and a healthy snack will be provided during the day.

Camp is organized and directed by Sarah Berkowitz and Donal Egan, who have over 50 years combined experience with horses, and over 35 years combined experience on the "A"  and International Circuits. Camp counselors are pre-screened, mature and responsible individuals who are full-time staff employees of Top Venture, LLC or Pony Venture, LLC. Campers will learn the basics of horse care, and experience significant "hands-on riding time" on safe ponies and horses. Campers are under adult supervision 100% of the time, and each individual receives the counselors' full attention in order to ensure their safety and progression through the week.

A typical day at camp:

9:00 am - Campers arrive at barn

9:15 am - Grooming/tacking

9:45 am - Riding Session I (in arena)

10:45 am - Q & A on horseback/riding demonstration

11:30 am - Untacking/grooming

12:00 pm - Lunch

12:45 pm - Arts & Crafts/Games/Pool

2:15 pm - Grooming/Tacking

2:30 pm - Riding Session II (trail riding/hacking out)

3:30 pm - Untacking/grooming

4:00 pm - Camper pick-up

The cost of camp is $350/week for one week, $325/week for two-three weeks, and $300/week for four-six weeks. If you sign up by April 1st, you will receive a 10% discount. Bring a friend and receive a 5% discount for you AND your friend! Campers can be dropped off as early as 8am, and must be picked up no later than 5:30pm.
